  2. Anatomy and Physiology: A comprehensive understanding of the human body and its systems, as they relate to yoga practice and teaching.

  3. Philosophy and Ethics: An introduction to yoga philosophy and ethics, including the eight limbs of yoga, the history of yoga, and the ethical considerations for yoga teachers.

  4. Teaching Methodology: Techniques for teaching yoga effectively, including lesson planning, sequencing, and use of props.

  5. Teaching Practicum: Opportunities to teach classes under the supervision of experienced teachers, with feedback and guidance for improvement.

  6. Business of Yoga: An understanding of the business side of teaching yoga, including marketing, pricing, and legal considerations.

  7. Self-Practice: Time for personal practice and self-reflection, to deepen your own understanding and experience of yoga.

  8. Continued Education: Information about resources for continuing education and professional development after completing the program.

  9. In addition to these core elements, our 200-hour yoga teacher training programs are taught by experienced and knowledgeable instructors, in a support that fosters growth and learning.

  10. Although the curriculum includes the history and origin of yoga, chanting, chakras, etc. this is a science-based (non-religious) training & curriculum, focused mainly on correct body alignment, mind-body connection, biomechanics, fitness, strengthening, and overall well-being to enhance students practice and lives. We welcome people of all faiths—or none at all. We believe this training gives anyone from all areas and all faiths the helpful tools in order to better their practice and overall quality of life.

  1. Asana “Clean up” and Advanced Poses: Transitioning away from less beneficial habits on the mat and exploration of advanced asanas, variations, activations and modifications.

  2. Sequencing: Understanding sequences for different class levels, types, and themes. 

  3. Alignment and Adjustment Techniques: Refining alignment cues and hands-on adjustments for diverse body types.

  4. Rehabilitation Applications: Applying yoga for specific injuries, health conditions, and modifications for various populations.

  5. Functional Anatomy: Study of anatomy related to complex poses, body systems, structural alignment, and nerve stretching.

  6. Pranayama: Exploration of advanced pranayama practices for breath control and energy regulation.

  7. Meditation Practices: Deeper exploration of meditation techniques (mainly Anapana), mindfulness, and their integration into teaching.

  8. Yin Yoga: Understanding and practicing gentle, long-hold postures for relaxation and deep release.

  9. Nervous System Regulation: Techniques for self-care, stress management, and sustaining a balanced teaching practice.

  10. Effective Teaching Techniques: Advanced teaching methodologies, class management, and communication skills.

  11. Yoga Philosophy: Further and deeper study of yoga philosophies and traditional texts including the Yoga Sutras and Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
